Formation Civique et Citoyenne – Exploring and Reflecting on Languages: Richness and Discrimination
Designed for civic service volunteers (volontaires en service civique), this one-day training session offers an opportunity for reflection and discussion on languages, their interrelationships, and the role they play in our personal journeys and in society.
Through participatory activities (language biographies, dynamic debates, improvisation games, and more), participants explore themes such as linguistic and cultural diversity, the Francophonie, language policies in France, language-related discrimination, and the equal dignity of languages. The training promotes self-expression, dialogue among volunteers from different organizations, and awareness of the challenges of multilingualism and cultural rights.
What are the objectives?
- Understand the challenges of multilingualism, linguistic diversity, and language-based discrimination
- Raise awareness of the richness of languages and cultural rights
- Foster exchanges and interactions among volunteers
- Encourage participants to share their personal experiences and cultural richness
- Develop public speaking skills in a supportive environment
